A before and After picture of a drop ceiling insulation, with fluorescent light fixtures installed as well. A drop ceiling allows for easy access to pipe lines and wires, the recessed tile allows the tiles to sit down 1/4" lower then the grid. It makes for a richer look as well as hides the grid a bit more then a flushed tile would.
Having pipe lines, mental beams and electrical wiring exposed in a ceiling is unattractive. Drop ceiling hides all of the ugly stuff, yet also makes it easily accessible in case of a pipe leak. Fluorescent lighting really helps brighten up a place such as a basement.
This homeowner finished their basement with traditional materials many years ago. They unfortunately had to recently redo the work because traditional materials like drywall, were never made to be able to withstand a basement's environment. EverLast Wall Panels are the appropriate material for your basement because they are made of inorganic material - they will never support mold or mildew growth!
Before this basement was finished, the basement was very cold and damp. Notice the dehumidifier on the floor which is proof of how humid the below-ground space can be. After finishing the basement, it has become a warm and dry area for a new TV room and this is because all of our specialized products are all 100% non-organic!
This basement was very crowded, dark and unfinished. The family never spent anytime down there and wanted to make it into a family fun room that everyone could enjoy. After working with Tri-State Total Basement Finishing, they finally got their entertainment space that parents can enjoy and a TV area for the kids as well as a family room - all in one. Who wouldn't love that; a finished basement with space for the whole family!
