This homeowner's old ceiling was sagging in the middle, causing the corners to lift. There was also mold beginning to grow. The tiles needed to be replaced, but the homeowner wanted a different style than just your average dropped ceiling. They wanted all their ducts and girders hidden and they also wanted their grid to be concealed as much as possible.
Tri-State TBF loves to solve everyday puzzels for our customers. We made up some drawing plans and got to work. Replacing their grid and tiles with a Recessed tile that has a notched edge that allows the tile to sit down about 1/4" lower than the grid, giving it a much richer look as well as hiding the grid a bit more than what other tiles have offered. We boxed in all the ducts and girders using our TBF wall panels, making it look clean and appealing to the eye. The dropped ceiling came out looking beautiful and added much appeal to the basement.
