Basement Finishing: Design Vs. Reality

Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 by Reina Wardlow

Our sales team, working closely with the install team, is trusted with making your dream a reality.  We help you, the homeowner, to focus on "wants and needs" for your new space and we work diligently to make these dreams come true.  But no matter how much time and effort we put into the front end of your project, as the work begins, and you begin to see exactly what your space looks like, many homeowners wish to make changes.  If this was a new building project, it might mean meetings with both the Architects and the General Contractor, during which work is shut down and your 6 week project turns into 10 weeks.  At Tri State TBF we work with you directly, every step of the way to ensure you get exactly what you desire in a timely fashion!

While our homeowner had taken the time to research his alternatives, we wanted to ensure he was well informed.  Beginning with our in home demonstration, we give you the information and time to become acquainted with all the choices Total Basement Finishing has to offer, as well as the alternatives.  We have been in business for over 30 years and have used the other materials, we know your concerns and can help to allieviate them!  From Ceiling tiles, to floor tiles, wall particians and electric, we can help you to obtain the look you want; from awe inspring to clean storage for your holiday decorations, Tri-State Total Basement Finishing can help.

A typical basement renovation includes a dedicated laundry space, a home gym, a home office, or clean space for the children to safely play.  Building interior walls to divide large spaces into smaller, design focused spaces can include many changes:  lighting changes, door changes, whether or not to install flooring in closets and more.  Chris and Carl are there every step of the way to ensure your changes are incorporated into the final project delivery so that you love your new space!

Basements usually have the working part of the home within; closeting your sump pump, oil tank, hot water heater or furnace is par for the course in Basement Renovation, and something we do every day.  Our TBF EverLast Walls, have no studs, our four foot wide panels of 2 1/2" thick, high-density closed cell foam insulation with a 1/2" cement board panel on the surface make for easy cleaning and do not need painting.  Our State of the Art panels never get moldy, will never rot, will not be ruined by water and have a continuous unroken R-13 insulation layer!  The home owner can hang anything, including a flat panel television on the walls, and can be patched when removing hung items.  Hiding the wiring, and venting system is also something we at TBF do almost every day.  Our drop ceiling can hide the duct work and wires in the home, while also allowing tradesmen access to the vital components of the home.
